May has a special character in Quebec, as people celebrate Tree and Forest Month and show their attachment to this treasure that belongs to all of us.
Forests are important for maintaining biodiversity. In addition to their contribution to improving air quality, they provide a habitat for 200 species of birds and around 60 species of mammals.
As part of this unique month, many activities have been organized by cities and towns across Quebec, including distribution of trees and compost, environmental awareness workshops and workshops about seasonal hazardous household waste pickups. EBI is proud to take part in many of these events every year.
